Who is responsible for your personal data?
Academic Solutions is responsible for the personal data that you send to us and is responsible for processing your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations (GDPR). The personal data that may be processed are, name, social security number, address, e-mail address, telephone number and the information that the applicant completes to match the assignments and jobs. By registering on the website, the employer and the student shall consent to the processing of personal data by Academic Solutions as set forth in these Terms.
Academic Solutions are not responsible for the accuracy of registered personal data. In the event that personal information is manifestly incorrect, it is up to the employer or the student to request the correcting of the personal information himself.
The person whose personal data has been registered in Academic Solutions register has the right to request information on their personal information, free of charge, and may withdraw consent (at any time, not retroactively). If any information is incorrect or incomplete, the Customer or Applicant shall notify Academic Solutions of this so that correction may occur.
When the applicant submits an Interest Notification to an employer, certain personal information is sent from the student to the employer, namely Name, Last Name, Tele, Email, University / College, Name of Education, About Yourself, and Applicant's CV. By accepting the terms and conditions, the applicant agrees that Academic Solutions, upon request of interest to a particular client, discloses these personal information to the employer and that the employer receives and processes these data for recruitment purposes. The employer does not receive this information to handle them on behalf of Academic Solutions. Academic Solutions is not responsible for how the employer manages and processes these personal data.

What is personal data?
Personal data is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context, i.e. all kinds of information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a living physical person.
What is processing?
Processing of personal data is any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as for example collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, use, erasure or destruction.
What personal data do we collect, for what reason and based on what legal ground?
When registering on our site as a student, you are being asked to enter your name, email address and name of you university/college. The purpose of processing of such personal data is to:
- to promote your professional profile to potential employers and thereby exposing you to job opportunities/assignments and advancements in your career;
- to provide you with information on relevant assignments/job opportunities relevant to you to advance your career;
- to conduct statistics and reports and historical overviews to understand career trends;
- to make a profile of you based on your preferences and competencies to match your profile with business partners in and potential employers under section
- to administer your profile at Academic Solutions.
- to get feedback through surveys or phone calls.
The information provided by the employer and student to Academic Solutions may be submitted to subcontractors such as Academic Solutions hired to provide Academic Solutions services. These are subcontractors who manage the operation and maintenance of IT services, payment processing and credit reporting. Subcontractors only handle personal information for the Academic Solutions account.
Legitimate interest and contractual relationship
Academic Solutions processes your personal data that you have submitted online in order to a) provide you with the services set out in the terms and conditions which were provided to you when you initially created your profile, and b) to fulfill other contractual relationship with you.
The legitimate interests of processing your personal data are:
• Make services more user-friendly, for example, change the user interface to simplify the information flow or to highlight features commonly used in our digital channels;
• Develop support to improve service purchases.
When do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you register a profile on our website, when you follow us on different channels such as social media, or when you contact us.
How long is the retention time?
We may process your personal data for up to seven years in order to be able to comply with Swedish tax legislation.
Access and Rectification?
If you want to know what personal data that is processed about you, you can request that we provide the information we have about you (such as a registry extract). You can do this by contacting AcademicSolutions (email@example.com). We will then send your personal information to you by email. Please note that we may ask for additional information upon request for access. This is to ensure efficient handling and that the information is provided to the right person.
You have the right to request from AcademicSolutions rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of processing concerning your personal data or to object to processing.

In some cases, the person who has provided his / her personal data is entitled to retrieve and use his / her personal information elsewhere, for example, in another social media service (the right to data portability). The person who has received personal data is required to facilitate such a transfer of personal data. A prerequisite is that it processes personal data with the consent of the data subject or to fulfill an agreement with the data subject and applies only to personal data that the data subject itself has provided.
Can you file a complaint?
If you believe that AcademicSolutions has improperly processed your personal data, please contact us at email@example.com. You are also entitled to file a complaint with the Data Inspectorate, which is responsible for regulatory compliance in Sweden.
How do we protect your information?
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
Do we use ‘cookies’?
• Help remember and process the personal data you have entered in your profile.
• Understand and save user’s preferences for future visits.
• Compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions in order to offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Since browser is a little different, look at your browser’s Help Menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
If you turn cookies off, some features will be disabled. It won’t affect the user’s experience that make your site experience more efficient and may not function properly. However, you will still be able to place orders.
Who has access to your information?
We do not sell nor trade your personal data. Your personal data is shared with AcademicSolutions. Thus you must be aware of that if you apply to an assignment, your personal data will be sent to the employer to contact you.
We, along with third-party vendors such as Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website.
Users can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative Opt Out page or by using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser add on.
